Partners in Care Yorkshire Limited is a domiciliary care agency covering Scarborough and Ryedale. We require care workers to be educated to GCSE level and to hold a minimum level 2 care qualification to work in teams across these areas. We would prefer applicants to have experience of working in a care setting but if this is the first time you have considered this work then please apply as we are always keen to promote working in the care industry and will provide all necessary training.
You will be visiting people in their own homes and so will have to agree to background checks being carried out. These include criminal record checks, check that you are not barred from working with adults and two references , one of which should be from your previous employer.
We want care workers that have good communication skills and have practical skills in areas such as medicine administration, moving and handling people and record keeping. If you have a qualification in end of life care or dementia care this will be an advantage. We will be specialising in these areas of care.
Your role will involve visiting people at home to provide support and/or personal care. This may involve assisting with washing and bathing, supporting someone to eat and drink, administering medicines and other aspects of personal care. You may be asked to support someone to take part in a social activity or to sit with them over night. Please let us know when you send your CV your preferred times of work and if you would be willing to do night sits.
It would be an advantage for applicants to drive but will not always be necessary and we will be taking part in the Cycle to Work scheme so possible to keep fit and work for Partners In Care Yorkshire.
